Subject: DRPT-672 Topics in PT 1 (Spring)
Hi everyone,
I hope you are doing well. I’m excited to be your course instructor for Topics in PT 1 this Spring. During my maternity leave, Dr. Brian Neville will be supporting the course in my place, and I am grateful he will be available to assist you while I am away.
I also wanted to share a few updates about how to access the course:
First, Topics in PT 1 will be available in the Organizations area of Blackboard rather than in your regular Courses folder. When you log in, please click on Organizations, and you will see the course listed there.
Second, this class will run longer than your other Spring courses. This is intentional and designed to help reduce your workload throughout the semester. The course is self-paced, which means you can complete the modules on a schedule that works best for you, as long as you meet the posted deadlines. This flexibility should help you balance this course with the larger demands of your other classes and clinical demands.
I strongly encourage you to watch the introductory videos, including the one that explains grading. These will give you a clear overview of how the course is structured and what to expect throughout the semester.
I wish you a wonderful semester ahead!
Warmly,
Dr. Trepte
Note from Dr. K. Green:
Hello there!
I highly recommend that the Pharmacology module be completed as soon as you are able to do it. I understand it is a self-paced course, but there is information in this module that will support the Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Practice course and you will feel more prepared if you tackle this module first.
Note from Dr. M Green:
The course is open now. There is NO expectation that you do ANY work on your break. But, if you are back in work mode and ready to go, so is the course. When you do decide to get started with it, please consider dr. K Green's note above. Beyond that module, the actual due date for the rest of the work is not until the end of April. So, you can pace your self as needed.
This is what it looks like when you access it through the Organizations tab on Blackboard:

Reach out if you have any questions.
I look forward to being with you this spring!
