Good evening Cohort of 2027,

As you know, our “Draft Day” is coming up next Thursday, June 12, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. (or until the last pick is made!). Just like the real draft, we’ll be sticking it out to the end—so plan to stay and cheer on your classmates as they make their picks.

Attached are your Draft Day Playbooks:

  1.  🗺️ List of clinical sites – Breadth and Depth categorizations included. Study up like it’s game film.
  2.  📋 DPT1 Breadth + Depth Planning Form – use this to prep for your DRPT 800 selection.
  3.  📘 DPT2 Breadth + Depth Planning Form – you'll submit this before choosing 802 and 804 in Year 2. We're giving it to you now to help with longterm planning.

How to Prepare Like a Pro:

  *   🎽 Wear your favorite team jersey! Dr. Eubanks will check with faculty to confirm whether it's jersey day all day—stay tuned.
  *   📚 Research the sites in advance and bring a list of 10+ in order of your preference. You may need to go beyond 10 depending on your draft number and the choices of others.
  *   ✈️ Interested in an “out of area” site? Bring a list of preferred locations.

A Few Pep Talks & Pro Tips:

  *   Not all DPT programs offer students choices—many assign placements with zero input. We’re proud to offer you autonomy and flexibility while still meeting program and accreditation requirements.
  *   There will be a much larger pool of sites available for your terminal clinical experiences, which are longer in duration.
  *   8 weeks is not forever. You’ve binge-watched longer Netflix series.
  *   Respect and grace go a long way. Don’t be that teammate.
  *   This is an exciting kickoff to your clinical education journey. We’ve got your back—now get ready to draft like champs!
