Good morning,
I wanted to clarify one point – because the VA Fayetteville Rehabilitation Clinic shares space with WOMAC, the patient population will include active duty. This would be a great opportunity for anyone interested in that population or high level athletes, since there is quite a bit of overlap. Additionally, this clinic sees TBI and concussion quite frequently as well.
Just wanted to provide that insight for those who may not be familiar with the military healthcare system.
Please stop by during office hours if you have questions about the VA or any other clinical sites!

* Rankings are only considered if a student is selected for multiple sites.
* Notification of Selection: Mrs. Shewmaker will send an email once selections are complete. Students can view their placements by logging into the Exxat portal under 'Coursework.' If no placement is listed, it means you were not selected for a site.
* Slot Confirmation Process:
* Slots are not confirmed until Mrs. Shewmaker verifies availability with the Site Coordinator for each site.
* Confirmation can take several weeks and is subject to change. Sites may rescind or cancel slots at any time. Mrs. Shewmaker will notify you if anything changes.
* How to Decline Participation in One Experience:
* If you wish to participate in only one of the clinical experiences (DPT 802 or 804), follow this process:
* Drag “I am finished selecting” to the top for the clinical experience you do not want to participate in.
* Then, proceed to list the slots for the other clinical experience where you do want to be placed.
* Example: If you do not wish to participate in DPT 802, move “I AM FINISHED SELECTING” to the top for that section and then list the slots for DPT 804.
