[Pt2026] Clarification on Thursdays in the Summer

Hey all!
I had heard from a few DPT 1 students about “the super long day on Thursdays” and I wanted to clarify with you that it is not “as bad as it looks”😊 Good news, right?

In DPT 726 (the Clin Ed course) you will be responsible for going to Community Wellness for 3 one-hour slots over the course of the summer. Community Wellness is from 12-4pm on Thursdays.

In Anatomy on Thursdays, the class is typically split in half, so you are in the lab for 90 minutes for either the first or the second session on Thursdays. And, on days you have practicals, you have the rest of that time slot available after your practical.

So, you are not really “in class” without a break all day. On the master schedule, it is reserved to accommodate all things that happen, but your personal weekly schedule will not be a continuous, all day event!
