Hey Everyone!

I wanted to reach out to you and remind you of a cool opportunity we have to make a difference in the community at the end of the semester. On August 2, there is an event called Life Rolls On. This is an annual adaptive surfing clinic that is held at Carolina Beach.

There are multiple roles that you can fill as a volunteer. You can be in the water helping athletes transfer to and from the surf boards. I suggest signing up for the shallow water (ankle to hip deep water), unless you have a lot of experience with swimming or surfing then there are mid (chest height water to treading water) and deep water (treading water) opportunities. If you want to be in the water sign up for "Athlete Assistance" and select the depth you are most comfortable with.

If being in the water doesn't interest you, there are volunteer roles where you can help with snacks/water or helping athletes navigate the beach to get to their group.

Registration to be a volunteer opens up on Wednesday June 18 at 9:00 am PST. When registration opens up please sign up for the Orange Group (Go Camels!) as your "Team Preference" and fill in that you are with Campbell University DPT under the "Are you volunteering with an organization?" question.

Second years, if your community wellness member is interested in participating as an athlete please let me know so we can pass on registration information to them. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Thank you,
