All,

You should have received an email from the FSBPT with instructions for starting your PEAT exam. Follow their instructions. Below are their helpful hints for taking the PEAT.

Helpful Hints

  *   Disable pop-ups
Many times, students will see the following message when they log on to PEAT. "Thank you for visiting FSBPT. PEAT is now running in another browser window." In this case, the student will need to disable their pop-up blocker in order to see PEAT. They should allow pop-ups for the duration of PEAT.

  *   Access Period
Students have access to PEAT for one year or until they pass the NPTE, whichever comes first. The access period begins after the first practice exam has been started.. However, students can download and print the supplemental materials and this won't count toward the access period.

  *   PEAT Testing
     * Students should complete the PEAT Retired Form (Form A) first.
  * Two practice exams are included
After taking the first exam and reviewing their performance report as well as the references and rationales for each question, students can move to the second practice exam.

  *   Email with instructions
Confirmation emails for Academic PEAT purchases are generally received within two to three hours. The exception is YAHOO accounts (they seem to be sent to junk mail or filtered as spam). Confirmation emails are sent to the school email address provided during purchase. If you have not received the confirmation email, call or email FSBPT to receive the email and instruction. Please add peat at fsbpt.org<mailto:peat at fsbpt.org> to your contacts list to get our e-mails.

As a reminder-Dr. Myers Announcement in BB about the PEAT.

The next phase of the licensure examination prep process begins soon. Here are some important pieces of information for your reference.

  1. Please make sure you have completed the Blackboard Survey indicating whether you would like to follow the early vs traditional pathway for PEAT and NPTE.
  2. Ms. Ennis will be sending information on how to access your PEAT exams soon. We have already purchased the exams. You will need to login following her instructions to gain access.
  3. Remember, once you choose a pathway "early" or "traditional," you will remain on that prep pathway for all PEAT activities. Once you start your access, there is limited time to use the resources. Make sure you complete both PEAT1 and PEAT2 within your access window.
  4. Early test pathway PEAT1 testing period opens 7/19 and runs through 7/25. Please remember to submit your PEAT1 score report ASAP after your test.
  5. Taking the PEAT1 early does not automatically clear you for early NPTE testing. I will begin reviewing qualifications for anyone who submitted an early PEAT1. If you qualify for the early NPTE (October test), I will let you know.
  6. If you are following the "traditional" pathway, you have more time. Your PEAT1 window is 9/7-9/20.

Have a great week!
Dr. Myers
