Hey all-
The HVAC is not being cooperative in Smith Hall, and repairs are in progress.
The temperatures are not conducive for a successful learning environment.
We are hoping it will be up and running tomorrow, but at this point, classes, and labs, cannot be held.

As a result, classes and your exam, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 will not be help in person. They will be shifted to a remote learning format.

DPT 756 (Ther Ex) and DPT 760 (Hospital Practice)
Dr. Leineke and Dr. K Green are working on a remote option for you. Please refer to your Blackboard course for each of these courses to see the specific expectations for these courses. Email the faculty directly if you have questions regarding the material/expectations.

DPT 712 Neuroscience Exam
The 712 Neuroscience Exam will be given at the regularly scheduled time but will be delivered in a remote fashion. This means you will take the exam where you are comfortable to do so (hopefully with air conditioning!). Mrs. Ennis will be running the exam and will communicate with you additional information including when and how she will release the password for the exam.

As a reminder- this is NOT A GROUP EXAM. Even if you live together, you take it separately, and without communicating during the exam. I have included the statement from the syllabus regarding remote exams for your reminde:

Remote Exams:

  1. Students must arrive promptly at the designated time that the exam begins and complete within the timeslot appointed by Examsoft settings and outlined on the syllabus
  2. This is not a group test. Though formal proctoring is not in place, and these exams are being taken remotely, it is expected that the student will NOT gain assistance from anyone or anything (computer, notes, phone, AI, etc) to aide in test taking. Refer to the Honor Code in the CPHS Academic Bulletin for information related to sanctions which can be applied if it is discovered that outside resources were utilized in the taking of an examination.

Please inquire with Mrs. Ennis regarding questions specific to the 712 exam.

I am also available if you have questions, or need clarification.
See you at Convocation on Wednesday.
