Hi class,

I am delighted to be your instructor for DPT 730-Service Learning 2 (Fall 2023)!

One of the components of your grade in this course includes participating in a service/volunteer event organized by one of our adjuncts, Dr. Wendy Viviers.

I will provide much more information in our first week of class, but I wanted to give you the opportunity to start planning for this ahead of time. The event is a Softball Tournament at Thomas Brooks Park, Cary, that will occur on October 21 (Saturday) & October 22 (Sunday).

What do I need from you?


  1.  Please, include your name on the date/time that works better for you.

  1.  If there is a conflicting date, please, negotiate with your colleagues to find an option that works for everybody. We need 21 students on Saturday and 20 on Sunday.

In our first week of class, I will provide more details, including how to register for the event.
