Hey all!
I'm following up on information you have heard about from Megan Johnson regarding an opportunity to be part of the Campbell Healer Collaborative.
This program allows graduate students to be involved in activities related to mentoring of undergraduate students interested in the health professions. One of our program's goals is to increase our DPT visibility with the undergraduates. I learned at Freshman Convocation, a few weeks ago, that pre-PT degrees are within the top 8 of majors in the incoming freshman group! We want to find ways to connect with this group. This is a great opportunity.

In the big picture, a large part of PT is teaching, and mentoring. Whether it be as a Clinical Instructor, connecting with people getting hours, interacting with students doing shadowing, engaging with other professionals, onboarding and assisting younger clinicians through their development, or doing in-services. This is a skill that is not taught by a PowerPoint but is learned through experience. This is an opportunity to build this experience.

If you are interested, reach out to your Advisor and be sure you both feel it is a good fit for you, your goals, and will align with your time commitments.
Please note the GPA expectation as well for those volunteering.
