Pro Bono Participants,

Please read this email in its entirety if you are participating in pro bono
this semester,

With the increasing number of patients coming in for pro bono services, we
are being faced with the challenge of figuring out how to ensure that we
are helping the underserved population in accordance with our mission.
Moving forward, board members are going to be asking new patients what
caused them to seek out our services when they first come in. If they are
receiving PT elsewhere, we will ask that they wait until they have run out
of visits before we dedicate appointment slots to them. We will be using
sticky notes (the ones SPT3 uses to write down vitals) to communicate
whether patients will have priority for future scheduling based on their
needs - this will be entirely dependent on their access to treatment, NOT
the severity of their case. You will still be responsible for determining
their plan of care. *A green/teal sticky note will signify "go ahead" for
scheduling your patient for the next available session as appropriate. A
red/pink sticky note will mean that you should give the other groups
priority for scheduling if there are limited slots available, meaning that
we may have to wait until after the fact to reach out to the patient about
scheduling based on what we have available.*

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about this,
and the board member responsible for check-in will also be happy to clarify
on the day you are treating if there is still any confusion then. Thank
y'all!
