Hello Class of 2024!

The Campbell University Doctor of Physical Therapy Student Ambassador team is adding members for the 2021-2022 academic year, and we are very interested in offering this opportunity to you! As a DPT Student Ambassador, you are a very important and valuable part of the Admissions and DPT departmental teams and your work is key to our success. You will play an integral role in prospective student’s impression of the University by sharing your personal experiences and enthusiasm for the Campbell University Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

The goal of the DPT Student Ambassador program is to represent the CU DPT program in a professional and friendly manner to prospective and incoming students.

Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

  *   Assist with CU DPT Open House events, visitation days (such as DPT Days), DPT interview days, DPT interview student panels, Accepted Student Days, and campus visits (some events occur during the evening, Saturday, in-person and virtual);
  *   Communicate with prospective and incoming DPT students via e-mail and phone calls;
  *   Provide content and ideas to post to CU DPT/CPHS social media and contribute to the CPHS blog;
  * Assist the CPHS Office of Admissions & Student Affairs with the mentoring of newly accepted students; and
  * Assist the Admissions team during recruitment fairs and club information sessions.
This program is designed to be a priority in your weekly and monthly schedules, in addition to something you can add to your resume’. All CPHS Student Ambassadors are required to maintain an overall graduate level GPA of 3.0 to continue participation as a Student Ambassador. The CPHS Office of Admissions & Student Affairs will review final grades at the end of each semester to determine continuing eligibility.

A mandatory training for all CPHS Student Ambassadors will take place early in the fall semester. The date and location or platform will be provided by mid-August. The training will focus on providing you with the resources to successfully help incoming DPT students transition.

If you are interested in serving as a CU DPT Student Ambassador, please apply here<https://cuweb.wufoo.com/forms/dpt-student-ambassador-application-20222023/> no later than Friday, June 10, 2022 before midnight. If you have previously served as a Student Ambassador, thank you! I hope you re-apply. 😊

If you have any questions, please reach out. I look forward to working with you throughout the coming year!

Kindest Regards,

Shari McGuire, M.Ed.
