Subject: Week of Service/Disaster Relief Training

Hello,

As you well know, service is a key part of the fabric of who we are at Campbell University. As a way of encouraging service opportunities this year, we are offering several events. The first are several “Week of Service” opportunities. These include:
We have several community engagement opportunities coming up over the next few weeks!

  *   First Baptist Yard Sale Sorting next week! Various shifts  March 30th-April 2
  *   Boys and Girls Club various shifts 1-3pm, 3-5pm April 11-14th
  *   Red Cross Blood Drive in the Student Union Ballroom C on April 13, 2022 from 8am-6pm
  *   PALS Volunteering April 19-21st 3-6 PM
Of course, if your clubs or student groups are doing projects during this time we would love to know more about that work and collect the stories of how Camels are impacting our community!

The week ends with a Disaster Relief Training on April 23rd from 8:30-3:00 pm (half days are optional too). This is official certification to participate in disaster relief projects through the good work of our friends at NC Baptist Men. Hopefully we are building a community of service that will extend far beyond our students days on our campus and this training is one opportunity to participate in a lifetime of service.

Flyers are attached with sign-up QR codes for all the events. I’m happy to provide more details about the upcoming projects.
Please let me know if you want to sign up a class, department or club! More details will be emailed out to those who sign up.
