Happy March 1st!

In an effort to address food insecurity across Campbell University, the Health Science programs are partnering with the Office of Spiritual Life's food initiatives to open a satellite pantry for Graduate Health Science students.

We are conducting a brief survey to assess the need within our student populations. Your responses are completely anonymous.

Food insecurity is defined as "the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food."
More than 800 million people live every day with hunger or food insecurity as their constant companion.
In a study published by Cambridge University Press in August 2020, it was found that:
Food insecurity occurred in nearly half of the graduate students surveyed, and very low food security was associated with elevated levels of depression, anxiety and stress. Findings highlight the need to address food insecurity and associated elevated mental health problems present among graduate students.

If you have a direct need, you are welcome to access the Main Campus Pantry located at the Campus Ministry House Thursday's 10 - 1.

Thank you,
Jennifer
