[Pt2024] Pediatric SIG Lowdown

Good afternoon y'all!
Happy Thursday! Hope y'all had a great week and enjoyed your 2'sDAY!
Welcome back to the second years; I hope clinicals were a fantastic
experience that left you wanting to learn more to be the best for your
future patients! A few updates so please bear with me....

Thank you to everyone that came to the Lunch'n'Learn with TR. Every
opportunity we have to learn from her is golden, so thank you for making
her feel so welcomed and valued! If you were unable to attend the meeting,
but wanted to grab some of those knowledge nuggets, you can watch here.

The Pediatric SIG general interest meeting will be happening in person in
room 308 on 7 March at 12pm. I understand some of you may have class that
runs over, don't fret! We will record the meeting and provide a written
update afterwards with anything you might need to know if you cannot make
it. You are more than welcome to sneak in at any time, though! At this
meeting, we will be passing off the operation of the SIG to a new board. We
want to encourage first and second years to consider board positions, as
y'all are in charge of how involved you make your education. If you are
interested in a board position, but know that you cannot be present for the
meeting, please email me ASAP! We will work out a way to get you on the
ballot. The board positions we currently have include:

Co-Director: in charge of coordinating with the faculty advisor, booking
rooms for meetings, sending updates, coordinating guest speakers and
events.

   - We currently have co-directors (2 of us) if you have questions feel
   free to reach out to us!
   - Jessica Lane jrlane0312 at email.campbell.edu
   - Liisa Mosher-Hale mlmosher0305 at email.campbell.edu

Vice President: Coordinating guest speakers, maintaining attendance logs
and meeting notes, running the Peds SIG Instagram account

   - Jen Zazworsky jazazworsky1119 at email.campbell.edu

Treasurer: handling club funds and coordinating with Campbell staff on
fundraisers.

   - Ashlie Murray armurray0627 at email.campbell.edu

These are the positions that we currently have, however they do not have to
be the ones that y'all run with. If you have suggestions for different
positions please either email me or bring them up at the meeting. I'm
looking forward to passing the SIG off to the next group of brilliant
doctors-to-be!
