Good morning y'all!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and has started the new
semester off strong! With this being a shorter semester, I wanted to send a
quick email updating you on the goings on in the Pediatric SIG world.

The past year's lunch'n'learns were a success! We had a Biomedical Engineer
that designs surgical implants for patients with bone deformities; our very
own TR spoke with us on owning her own business and running multiple
clinics; Dr. Laura Boose spoke with us on the many options you have to work
in different areas of pediatrics and obtaining your pediatric specialty
certification. We also had fun hosting Kahoot Reviews for pediatric exams;
it's a great way to stay on top of the material and integrate it for other
uses!

Coming up! The Great TR will be running us through serial casting how-tos,
and who, what, when, for how long we use it. She will be coming in on
Thursday, February 10 at noon. Room TBD. Please come even if you have no
idea what we're talking about! TR is an amazing PT that we are lucky to
learn from.

We will be hosting a general interest meeting for anyone interested. It
will be in person with some snacks provided. We will be going over what
opportunities you have as a pediatric therapist (more than you might
think!) as well as electing new board members for the new year. First years
are welcome to consider board positions! We want y'all to have a voice in
your educational opportunities! Please join us Monday, March 7 at noon.
First years may have class with Dr. Sawyer trickling into lunch time, but
just join us when you can!
