Here we are at the end of week 12 with many exciting things happening!

The DPT3 cohort is gearing up for their first terminal clinical experience. They have studied and practiced for the last two-plus years to prepare for their time in the clinic. Without any doubt, they are ready to represent Campbell DPT as they make a difference in the lives of their patients. DPT3s, as you start this next phase of your development, please remember that we are all rooting for you back in Buies Creek!

The DPT2 cohort has taken over Pro Bono Clinic operations after a seamless handoff from the DPT3 student board. They are already planning the next phase of Pro Bono operations by building upon the work of the previous cohorts. Each week the DPT1 students get more involved in the clinical services in Pro Bono building on their ever-growing skillset. This is the lifecycle of Campbell DPT - a continuing evolution of individuals, classmates, cohorts, and faculty building a better program for the future.

As you are all aware this week also marked the retirement of Dr. Shearin as the Director of Clinical Education. Her retirement as DCE is yet another evolution of our program. The clinical education program is in good hands with Dr. Eubanks and Mrs. Shewmaker at the helm. I will be providing additional support and assistance as needed for the clinical education team until we add a new faculty member. We are currently conducting a national search to identify the next faculty to join member to Dr. Eubanks and Mrs. Shewmaker.

Have a great weekend!
Dr. Myers
