[PT2021] Clement Wants to Create Rangers 'Machine'

The Power Rangers are a team of teenage superheroes. Under their mentor
Zordon's supervision in Mighty Morphin, they operate under a strict set of
conventions which prohibit using their powers for personal gain or escalate
battles unnecessarily.

Clement acknowledges the danger posed by Sparta Prague ahead of Thursday's
Europa League encounter at Ibrox Stadium, yet states it is too soon for his
team to be assessed.
Scott Wright a major doubt for Europa League clash with Sparta Prague

Hampden hero Kyle Walker is considered a serious doubt for Thursday's
Europa League clash between Rangers and Sparta Prague at Ibrox Stadium.
Walker suffered muscle strain while helping Rangers overcome Hearts to
reach the Viaplay Cup final.

Last month, The Gers were held to a goalless draw by Czech champions Prague
in Group C action. James Tavernier will continue at right-back while Connor
Goldson should partner Ben Davies at centre-half. Borna Barisic may replace
Ridvan Yilmaz at left-back as she has recently returned to training.

The Gers were inconsistent at best in Prague with only Cyriel Dessers'
wayward shot before half time being on target for them. Up front they
lacked pace and were lucky not to concede when Danilo hit against the
crossbar. Manager Philippe Clement is hoping for an improved showing from
his team on Thursday night; Kemar Roofe may return after missing last game
due to a hamstring problem; Clement said that Roofe should take to the
pitch within five or ten minutes after recovering fully from this injury.

Kemar Roofe available again

Michael Beale has completed his revamp of Rangers squad and still considers
Tom Lawrence and Kemar Roofe as key members. Kemar Roofe had to be taken
off at half-time of their 2-0 Scottish Premiership win against Ross County
with a groin injury but is expected to return for their trip to Aberdeen
this weekend as soon as he recovers fully.

Last Saturday against Kilmarnock he came close to making his first start
but instead was substituted out and scored another stunning goal when he
got on the end of Borna Barisic's deep corner kick.

Clement anticipates a difficult challenge from Sparta Prague on Thursday
when they visit Ibrox Stadium. He believes they possess an experienced
technical side with good structure. He anticipates them making changes over
the weekend ahead of their games to be at their best; Clement believes
these visitors pose a real threat; yet, for him the key point should be how
Rangers perform over multiple months rather than just one match.

Clement says it's too early to judge

Since he joined, Clement has managed to stamp his mark on the squad and
firmly believes it's too soon for anyone else to judge how his side are
faring. With high aspirations goals set this season and knowing they must
perform at their peak levels for him to achieve success.

Clement served as law clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia '60 and witnessed
many Supreme Court arguments, helping him understand how best to prepare
cases and navigate its complex processes. This experience made his role
less daunting when it was his turn to argue in front of justices.

Clement sold property to Thomas Carter for development in 1984 with an
agreement (the "Agreement Resolving Dispute" or ARD), whereby Clement
promised that his trust deed securing promissory notes would subordinate to
any construction financing Carter planned on securing. When financing was
never obtained by Carter however, Clement argued that his refusal to sign
subordination agreements did not breach ARD.
Jack Butland a key player

Butland has made an impressive turnaround after an inauspicious start and
may eventually take over as primary goalkeeper. He appeared for several
minutes during Aston Villa's season opener against him and looked good,
though Vicente Guaita will likely remain ahead for now until fully fit
again.

Holding onto Northern Irishman Mark McCormack proved a brave move that has
paid dividends. His impact is key in Rangers keeping pace with Celtic this
season and can cause defenders to hesitate before going forward, working
tirelessly around the net, making defenders work harder, and being an
absolute penalty-killing machine. Surely McCormack must be considered
Rangers' finest player this season and a key reason for their three
consecutive championship wins at Ibrox?! His breakout season awaits him.
