Please see the below and attached urgent message about the use of OneDrive and OneNote.  There is not much time to move anything you may have saved in these platforms.

Subject: Critical information if you use OneDrive and OneNote!! RE: Changes to Campbell Microsoft 365 Login

Students,

Please read this email carefully!! This email is for any students who are using OneDrive or OneNote with their Campbell Office365 account (i.e. you sign into Office 365 with your Campbell student email address) and save documents and/or OneNote Notebooks in OneDrive.

Background: On May 4th, you received the below email from I.T. Services explaining that the Campbell Microsoft Office 365 login process will be changing on June 2nd and that you must export/download any files that you are currently saving in OneDrive including OneNote! Please read/re-read the below email if you didn't previously see or read it. The bottom line is that If you DO NOT export any OneNote Notebooks and/or download any OneDrive files that are saved using your Campbell Office 365 account, you will lose those files and OneNote Notebooks after June 2nd.

Here are the steps to export OneNote Notebooks and to download OneDrive files:

  1.  Exporting OneNote Notebooks:  Attached to this email are two instruction sheets. The "OneNote-export" pdf explains how to export your OneNote Notebooks and the "OneNote-import" pdf explains how to import them back into OneNote from their new location. Because OneNote Notebooks can get very large, I recommend exporting them to an external hard drive or a large flash drive (64 GB or greater).
  2.  Downloading OneDrive Files:  Here is an article explaining how to download files from OneDrive:  https://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-download-files-from-onedrive. This process does not apply to OneNote Notebooks!!! You cannot download OneNote Notebooks. You must export them. Hopefully, you already exported your OneNote Notebooks in step 1 above.

Attention: Your Campbell Microsoft 365 login will be changing on June 2nd. Take steps now to preserve your files.

Your Campbell Microsoft 365 account provides access to Microsoft 365 services and apps including the Microsoft Office suite, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive, etc. To provide more secure services, to reduce the number of login credentials that you need, and to provide additional services in the future, we are making a change in the university's student Microsoft 365 service.

Please make note of the important changes coming to your Microsoft 365 account and the actions that you need to take to maintain and files that you may have stored there.

What will happen?

  *   On June 2nd, the password you use to access the university Microsoft 365 service, will change. Your password will be the same as your Campbell Network password. Your username will still be your student email address.
  *   On June 2nd, files currently stored in One-Drive in your Microsoft 365 account will no longer be accessible. You will have a new, empty One-Drive.

What you need to do?

  *   Before June 2nd, save your One Drive files to your computer or a flash drive. You can upload the files to your new One-Drive later if you wish.
  *   On June 2nd, begin using your new credentials to sign on to Microsoft 365.
