[PT2021] Updates

Hi Students,
By now I am sure many of you have shared some of the updates from yesterday; however, I will highlight so everyone has the information.
Faculty/Staff Updates: Dr. Noonan is focusing on her academic degree and Dr. Crouch has returned to clinical practice. We are excited to bring on two highly qualified faculty members in July and August - Dr. Brian Neville and Dr. Lori Leineke. Dr Myers is transitioning into the interim director position August 1st as I am taking on a new venture by assisting in the creation of a hybrid DPT program. Dr. Myers is already a leader in the department and will do a great job in this role along with the strong team of faculty. If you had Dr. Noonan or Dr. Crouch as an advisor you have been moved to another existing faculty member - they will reach out to you soon.
Rachel Ennis is reaching out to you all regarding interest in taking the NPTE early. Having an interest does not commit you to take it early; however, you want to ideally make that decision prior to the two-test PEAT sequence. Dr. Shearin will facilitate the licensure prep course which is really already underway and is an independent study. Rachel Ennis and Dr. Shearin will continue to provide support in this process.
Graduation is around the corner. Tamara will continue to consult with Kim East in planning for hopefully an in-person graduation. Consider who you want to recommend speaking at your convocation. Please continue to plan for the Wed-Fri of graduation week to have final curriculum activities.
