Greetings.
I just received a phone call from John Rouse who is director of the health department for Harnett County.  He has been getting a large number of requests for vaccination from health professional students.  He currently does not have vaccine supply to vaccinate health professional students let alone the elderly patients that are currently eligible.  We are in the process of applying to the state to be able to receive and administer vaccine.  Once we receive the vaccine, he is fine with supporting Campbell vaccinating our health professional students.  Once we have vaccine would like to focus on those students were at highest risk, primarily those on clinical rotations who have not been able to get it at their rotation sites as well as students that volunteer in the community care clinic.

He has asked that a message be sent to the health professional students not to request vaccination as they have been inundated with email requests.  He suggests we advised the students to wait until we can administer the vaccine ourselves.
