[PT2021] November thoughts.

Let me start by stating the obvious...tomorrow is election day. Now, I only
have two *non-political *objectives with this email.

To encourage professionalism & motivate empathy-informed interactions.

Listen, No matter who you voted for, no matter which party or candidate is
most aligned with your values and beliefs....this roller coaster of an
election year has surely had some emotional impact on each of us. Some of
us will be completely pleased with the outcome and some of us may be
completely disappointed. Regardless, let us ALL continue to push forward as
GOOD citizens, as RESPECTFUL colleagues, and as EMPATHETIC
clinicians-to-be.

We don't have to agree, or share the same beliefs, or even be good friends,
to be concerned about the well-being of our classmates, our community, and
our loved ones. Let us all do what we can to ensure physical and
psychological safety of those connected to us.

Let us continue to be productive and successful in this last month of the
semester. May we all strive to communicate professionally and effectively,
and to extend grace when others fall short of this goal. May we all take
intentional steps to support the mental, physical and spiritual health of
ourselves and of each other. Let us remember to drink our water, stay
active, take deep breaths, get adequate sleep, and "do no harm".

Respectfully,
