Good morning!

Please see below for an opportunity to participate in a physical therapy education research study via survey examining perceptions and beliefs about health disparities and the influence of internal and external factors on physical therapists' clinical decisions and practice.

As a faculty member who performs education research, I can't emphasize enough how important it is for DPT students to participate in surveys like this so, as educators, we can refine educational strategies.

Have a great weekend!

Subject: Invitation to Participate in a Research Study Examining the Perceptions of Health Equity and Disparities In PT

Dear Director of Clinical Education/Academic Coordinator for Clinical Education,

Students and faculty of Winston-Salem State University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program are conducting a research study to assess perceptions and beliefs about health disparities and the influence of internal and external factors on physical therapists' clinical decisions and practice. We are contacting you to ask for your assistance by forwarding this email to your students. Please disseminate this survey to your DPT/PTA students who have completed at least one clinical rotation/affiliation. It will take approximately 15 minutes and will be a one-time-only survey. This study has been IRB approved through Winston-Salem State University's Institutional Review Board (Study #19-0147).

There is no compensation for participation; however, we hope your students will gain a sense of satisfaction from contributing to the body of knowledge about health equity and disparities in PT.

This survey link will be open for responses until April 30, 2020. We will send you a reminder about this survey twice more before the survey closes.

Students should access the survey using this link:

If you have any questions, please contact the primary investigator, Tiffany Adams, at adamstn at wssu.edu<mailto:adamstn at wssu.edu> or (336) 750-8205.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
