Dear Students,

As our office prepares for the First Year/Escape Room Event on September 9, we would like to send some important information to help you prepare for your First Year Event experience and other IPE events this year.

First Year Event

As you know, the First Year Event will be taking place on Monday, September 9th, 2019. This event will feature an escape room scenario! Our office will be visiting each program to give an overview of the event for students, but here are some necessary points to keep in mind:

1.    Registration is open at the release of this email. You can register HERE: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JVFJRWQ

a.     You must register for the event to be given a room assignment. Without a room assignment, you cannot attend the event.
Registration Deadline: Friday, August 30, 2019, 11:59 PM.

b.    The First Year Event is required for every first-year student in the following programs:

                                                    i.     Nursing

                                                  ii.     Osteopathic Medicine

                                                iii.     Pharmaceutical Sciences

                                                iv.     Pharmacy

                                                  v.     Physical Therapy

                                                vi.     Physician Assistant

                                               vii.     Public Health

2.    Group assignments and room assignments will be sent to students by 11:59 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2019.

IPE Events 2019 – 2020

All required IPE events for this year are listed below:

First Year Event

Monday, September 9, 2019
Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Required for all first-year CUSOM and CPHS students

COMBINE

Tuesday, October 2, 2019
All day: Students select AM or PM

Required for all CPHS students

Open to CUSOM students

IPE Activity Day I

Tuesday, February 4, 2020
Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Required for all CPHS students and second-year CUSOM students

IPE Activity Day II

Friday, April 3, 2020
Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Required for all CPHS students and first-year CUSOM students

-        Seek out the IPE Steering Committee member(s) in your program: Our IPE Steering Committee consists of faculty members from each program. They can help by answering questions and informing you about various IPE news items.

-        Seek out the SWIPE member(s) in your program: Our SWIPE (Student leadership With IPE) student leadership group similarly consists of student representatives from each program – these can also help by answering questions, making announcements, etc.

-        Stop by our offices (Smith Hall 115B or 119A)

-        Follow us on Facebook (@CampbellIPE) and/or Twitter (@CUIPE) to stay updated about upcoming events and initiatives.
