Apologies for the delayed response.

Unfortunately, as much as we would love to support students exposure to industry we don't think a rotation would provide the best experience...primarily because our current working situation is fully virtual but also because the compliance training requirements are time limiting for a 4 week rotation.

If there are other ways we can help we're happy to.

Good morning and happy Friday!

I am emailing you both to discuss the possibility for developing an elective industry focused APPE rotation for our P4 students. Over the last several years, our students have had a growing interest in fellowships and industry-related jobs. We have made numerous changes to our student resources to educate, mentor and prepare students for these positions. One thing we are lacking is an industry related APPE rotation. We believe this would be a great experience for those students who are interested in pursuing industry and give them another item to add to their CV. If you are interested in discussing this further, I can arrange a virtual meeting with our Vice Chair for Experiential and Professional Education, Tina Thornhill.
