[Pharmsci] Spring Semester Hunger Relief Internships

Hello,
I am pleased to announce that the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle has a number of internship opportunities available for students in both the Raleigh and Durham areas and covering

  *   Community Health Education/Nutrition and Hunger Relief
  *   Community Gardening
  *   Warehousing/Supply Chain/Logistics
  *   Human Resources.
All interns will also have the opportunity to access resources for resume writing and interviewing skills, including a one-on-one resume review session, and an opportunity for a Q&A session with Food Shuttle leadership.
Who We Are
Inter-Faith Food Shuttle envisions a hunger free community. We FEED our neighbors, TEACH self-sufficiency, GROW healthy foods, and CULTIVATE innovative approaches to end hunger. We do this by engaging communities facing hunger to understand their unique needs and barriers. Then by building relationships and engaging our neighbors, we create programs and initiatives that meet specific needs, breaking the cycles of poverty and restoring dignity. We have served the seven counties of central NC for over 32 years and are a member of the Feeding America network of 200 food banks across the nation.
What We Do
We are committed to feeding children, families, and seniors by recovering and distributing over nine million pounds of food each year. We collaborate to serve our neighbors at their point of need through community-centered solutions. We are dedicated to teaching skills for self-sufficiency and empowering our neighbors to meet their own food needs. We support neighbors on their path to food security with the understanding that solving hunger is more than putting food on the table. We grow fresh produce at the Food Shuttle Farm and our Learning Gardens to distribute to our neighbors in need. We are also advocates in helping others to grow their own produce.
