<b>About the Internship </b></div>

The goal of the internship is for the pharmacist-intern to support Blue Cross NC’s More Than a Script program in independent community pharmacies in rural communities primarily through pharmacy engagement, provider engagement, and clinical support initiatives. </div>

The intern will work with each pharmacy team to improve pharmacy engagement by working with them for approximately one week on-site. While on-site, the intern will work with the pharmacy team to embed the More Than a Script program by providing one-on-one clinical
and operational support. The intern will be placed at multiple independent pharmacies in rural communities throughout their internship. While teaching the pharmacy team, the pharmacist-intern may evaluate and apply information to promote optimal health care
for diabetes and hypertension management. </div>
