[Phar29] AMCP Industry Pharmacy Opportunity

Happy Friday future pharmacists,


I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and rotations! On behalf of
Carolinas AMCP, I would like to share an exciting opportunity to gain
exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.


In partnership with Gilead and LEO Pharma, Carolinas AMCP is accepting
applications for the 2026 Student Pharmacy Programs for AMCP student
members. These programs offer students an inside look at pharmaceutical
manufacturers’ day-to-day operations. The visitations are onsite at the
manufacturers’ facilities, and participating companies provide air travel,
meals, and overnight accommodations.


Student Pharmacy Program Opportunities

   - *LEO Pharma Student Shadowing Day* - Madison, NJ
      - *August 25-26, 2026*
      - Available to one (1) pharmacy student from each AMCP Affiliate
   - *Gilead Student Pharmacy Program* - Foster City, CA
      - *September 17-18, 2026*
      - Available to two (2) pharmacy students from each AMCP Affiliate


Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, applicants must:

   - Be a P2-P4 PharmD student at the time of the program (i.e., not
   graduated as of August 2026)
   - Be enrolled at an accredited College of Pharmacy within the AMCP
   Affiliate region
   - Be a current AMCP member
   - Complete the application form and required materials


Important Information

Applications for students in North Carolina and South Carolina should be
submitted to *carolinas at amcp.org <carolinas at amcp.org>* by *12:00 PM ET on
May 27, 2026*.


Application materials include:

   - Completed application form
   - Brief essay describing what you hope to gain from the experience and
   how it relates to your professional goals
   - CV/supporting documents
