Chair</b><span style="font-size:12pt">, I’m excited to share a meaningful volunteer opportunity with </span><b style="font-size:12pt">The

Underground Railroad (UGRR)<span style="font-size:12pt"> in Lillington. On <b style="font-size:12pt"><font color="#ff9900">Friday, November 14th,

from 1–4 PM</font></b><span style="font-size:12pt">, we’ll be supporting their Wellness on the Railroad event by

hosting a </span><b style="font-size:12pt">Health Screening Fair</b><span style="font-size:12pt">. This will include blood pressure

checks, blood glucose testing, and education on OTC medications.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12pt"><br></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif">While we’re there, UGRR will also be hosting a <b>free

community giveaway</b> of toiletries, household supplies, and clothing. Our

role is to offer health services — not required for attendees — but this is a

powerful chance to build trust, grow relationships, and show up for our

community in a meaningful way.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"></span><span class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"></span><span style="font-size:12pt">To participate in this event </span><b style="font-size:12pt">AND </b><span style="font-size:12pt">future</span><b style="font-size:12pt"> </b><span style="font-size:12pt">UGRR

service opportunities, you’ll need to complete a </span><b style="font-size:12pt">1-hour certification

training</b><span style="font-size:12pt"> offered </span><b style="font-size:12pt">on-site from 1–2 PM</b><span style="font-size:12pt">. Even if you can’t stay for the

full event, I HIGHLY recommend attending the training to get certified for

future events — like the Toy Drive Health Fair on<b style="font-size:12pt"> December 20th<span style="font-size:12pt">.

This training is a very shortened version of what the UGRR usually requires,

which is typically 3 to 4 hours long, so I HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of

this opportunity!</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12pt"><br></span></p>
