Good morning everyone,

Your course evaluations are available for all block 1, 5, and 9 courses. They are also available for the first five-week electives. Your feedback is very valuable to this program. We have opened them well in advance of the end of class and they will remain open until the day of the final block exam.

FAQs

  1.
Where can I find my course evaluations?
     *
You should get automated email reminders along with links in Blackboard. Be sure to check your spam and let myself or your course director know if you cannot see the evaluations.
  2.
Are these actually anonymous?
     *
Yes, these evaluations are fully anonymous and collect none of your data unless you put it there. We encourage constructive criticism, just try to keep it professional.
  3.
Who sees the evaluations?
     *
The Director of Assessment (me), Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Pharmacy and Vice Associate Dean (Dr. Asbill and Dr. Barnes), the department chairs (Dr. Mills and Dr. Carter), the course directors, and the individual instructors on the evaluations. Individual instructors do not see comments/ratings for other instructors in the course.
  4.
Do you actually make changes based on feedback from the evaluations?
     *
Yes, and the list is extensive. Changing the format of PHRD-745 to a formative/team-based learning IP course, running PPC I through the entire semester vs 1 block, and a lecture schedule overhaul in CV/Renal I/II are just a few examples.
  5.
Do the instructors have access to the evaluations immediately?
     *
No, there is a 1-week buffer between the evaluations closing and being released to faculty so grades can be finalized first. You cannot be penalized for leaving constructive or negative comments.
