[Pharm27] Honoring Healing and Leadership: Dr. Vivek Murthy

As we recognize Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we celebrate the leadership of Dr. Vivek Murthy, the first Indian American to serve as U.S. Surgeon General.

Dr. Murthy has championed emotional well-being, equitable health care, and pandemic response efforts at the highest level. His work is a reminder that cultural background enriches the medical field with perspective and compassion.

From nursing to clinical science, Dr. Murthy’s career shows how health professionals can lead with both skill and humanity — and influence policy on a national scale.
