Hello CPHS Students!

The Student Government Association, Anesthesia Interest Group, and Global Health Club are proud to sponsor an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, April 1st! The drive will take place in the main lobby of Levine Hall from 11 AM to 3:30 PM.


We are seeking both whole blood donors and Power Red donors.



Power Reds involve donating 2 units of RBC’s, while your platelets and plasma are returned to you. This type of donation is especially important for surgeries and trauma transfusions.



If you are type O, A negative, or B negative, you are eligible to donate Power Reds.



The needle used for Power Reds is smaller, and many donors report feeling better afterward since you retain your blood’s liquid components. The collection takes about 15 minutes longer than a whole blood donation.



Not sure of your blood type? No worries! You can still donate whole blood, and you’ll be able to track your donation and check your blood type on the American Red Cross website.


Every donor will be entered into a lottery for a chance to win $5,000, a Red Cross T shirt, and enjoy FREE Bake Lab treats and pizza!
