Reminders:

A group of students is starting a Campbell University chapter of AMCP -
Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists. Becoming a charter member involved in
the founding of a new chapter here at CPHS is a great opportunity for
professional development and to boost your resume/CV.

Did you know that managed care pharmacy is one of the fastest growing
fields of healthcare delivery? Pharmacists in managed care operate in
various settings across the health management process and provide vital,
quality-oriented medication and cost management services for patients
across the country. Among other areas, managed care pharmacists can operate
within insurance companies, as consultants, and in academia to support
implementation of evidence-based clinical programs, patient safety
initiatives, and plan benefit design. The managed care pharmacist uses
clinical expertise and critical scientific evaluation skills with the
ultimate goal of fostering collaboration between patients, prescribers, and
pharmacists ensuring delivery of cost-effective and appropriate medication
therapy. You can join as a student pharmacist for $45.
