Hello, everyone!

I hope you all are doing well and looking forward to returning to campus!
As the start of the semester approaches, the leadership team at the
Campbell University Community Care Clinic (CUCCC) would like to send out
information for volunteering at the Free Clinic. The Free Clinic serves
underserved patients in Harnett County to provide them with medical care
that they would otherwise not have access to. The clinic is
primarily student-led with attendings present to oversee care.

Free Clinic is held off-campus at First Choice Community Health Centers
(Lillington, NC) and runs every Tuesday night from 5 pm to approximately 9
pm. The CU Free Clinic is continuing to expand and is regularly accepting
new patients. Due to how fast we are growing, we are requesting 7 pharmacy
student volunteers each Tuesday night. Student pharmacist volunteers are
responsible for reviewing medication histories with patients, performing
medication reconciliations, counseling patients, and working with medical
and PA students to formulate a care plan. The success of
the Free Clinic depends on our volunteers and we hope you consider
volunteering your time!

*Free Clinic Volunteer Policy*:
Signing up to volunteer at the Free Clinic is a commitment to the care team
and to the patients. By signing up, the student agrees to fulfill their
volunteer shift. If a student is no longer able to volunteer,* the student *is
responsible for contacting the standby volunteer and contacting
the Free Clinic Co-Directors (Savannah Norton and Parker Fowler) to inform
them of the shift switch. This year, we will be enforcing a "strike system"
to emphasize the importance of following through to a volunteer commitment.
If you fail to confirm your shift switch that will result in one strike,
three strikes result in the inability to volunteer at the Campbell
University Community Care Clinic.
