The Carolina's AMCP Affiliate of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy
(AMCP), in partnership with Gilead and LEO Pharma, is offering Student
Pharmacy Programs for AMCP Affiliate Student Members. These opportunities
aim to provide student pharmacists exposure to a day in the life of a
pharmaceutical manufacturer. Air travel, meals, and overnight
accommodations will be provided by the pharmaceutical manufacturer.


*Student Pharmacy Program opportunities: *


· *LEO Pharma Student Shadowing Day (Aug. 14–15, 2024)*

o Available to one (1) pharmacy student from the respective AMCP Affiliate

· *Gilead Student Pharmacy Program (Sept. 10–11, 2024)*

o Available to two (2) pharmacy students from the respective AMCP Affiliate


These partnerships align with the educational mission of AMCP, Gilead, and
LEO Pharma. To qualify for the Student Pharmacy Program(s), you must be a
P2 – P4 PharmD student at the time of the program (i.e., have not graduated
as of August 2024), at one of the accredited Colleges of Pharmacy within
the AMCP Affiliate region, a current member of AMCP, and have completed the
application form. Your application must include a brief essay on what you
will gain from attending the Student Pharmacy Program and how it will
contribute to your professional goals related to pharmacy. If you are
chosen to attend the Student Pharmacy Program, you will be asked to present
a summary of your experience at AMCP Nexus (in-person or virtual) and at a
future AMCP Affiliate event and/or newsletter.

Members of the AMCP Affiliate Board will conduct the application review.

accredited Colleges of Pharmacy within the AMCP Affiliate region.
