[Phar25] PRIDE Safe Space/Ally Training

Hi everyone,

PRIDE in Healthcare is proud to offer a Safe Space/Ally Training for CPHS
students.  The training is provided by Faithe Beam, the vice president of
spiritual life here at Campbell and a campus minister.

Safe Space/Ally training provides an opportunity to work toward creating a
healthy and safe community for all persons at Campbell University. Its
particular focus is how to pay attention to LGBTQ persons within our
community and care well for them as we nurture a culture of welcome and
belonging.

*Learning outcomes:*

*1. Introduce concepts, terminology, and resources related to sexual
orientation, gender identity, and gender expression*

*2. Provide awareness around concerns for members of the LBGTQ community*

*3. Learn ways to create safe and healthy learning environment for members
of the LGBTQ community*

*4. Learn ways to create safe space for conversation around challenging
topics*



The training will take place on *Monday, March 21, at 6pm in Maddox Hall* (Room

The training can only facilitate 20 students so please sign up at your
earliest convenience!  If more people express interest in the training, we
would be happy to work on offering a second session at a future date.
