Hi, everyone!

I hope you all are doing well and looking forward to returning to campus! As
the start of the semester approaches, the leadership team at the Campbell
University Community Care Clinic (CUCCC) would like to send out information
for volunteering at the Free Clinic. *Please read this email in its
entirety as there are new policies regarding free clinic sign-up. *

The Free Clinic serves the underserved patients in Harnett County to
provide them with medical care that they would otherwise not have access
to. The clinic is primarily student-led with attendings present to oversee
care. Free Clinic is held off-campus at First Choice
Community Health Centers (Lillington, NC) and runs every Tuesday night from
5:15 pm to approximately 9 pm. The CU Free Clinic is continuing to expand
and is regularly accepting new patients. Student pharmacist volunteers are
responsible for reviewing medication histories with patients, performing
medication reconciliations, counseling patients, and working with medical
and PA students to formulate a care plan. The success of
the Free Clinic depends on our volunteers and we hope you
consider volunteering your time!

*Free Clinic Volunteer Policy*:
Signing up to volunteer at the Free Clinic is a commitment to the care team
and to the patients. By signing up, the student agrees to fulfill
their volunteer shift. *Standby volunteers* are "on-call" and are asked to
keep their schedule open until 3:00 pm on the Tuesday which they have
signed up for. *If a student pharmacist can speak Spanish, please sign up
under the Spanish Interpreter column.* If a student is no longer able
to volunteer,* the student *is responsible for contacting the
standby volunteer *and* contacting the Free Clinic Co-Directors (Kaysey
Manista and Savannah Norton) to inform them of the shift switch. We have
enforced a "strike system" to emphasize the importance of following through
on a volunteer commitment.

*New PPD community service hours requirement:*
All students (p1 - p3) must complete 4 hours of community service at either
the CU Free Clinic or Mobile Clinic. The pharmacy co-directors, floor
directors, and the mobile clinic liaison can sign your PPD service hours
sheet. *P**lease only sign up for one shift and/or stand by slot to allow
all students the opportunity for a shift. On August 15th, any remaining
shifts are open to any students on a first come, first serve basis. *
