<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">I wanted to take a moment to check in with you all as you get ready to head to the white coat ceremony. I will be back in the UK next week for the funeral of my close friend and brother-in-law. Everything
is about perspective, so take joy in the day today.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">I sense that the level of stress is rising as we approach the first exams. Remember some of the advice that I and the rest of the faculty have been sharing with you:<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">You are not an imposter in this program. You all beat out many other candidates and we choose very carefully.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Concentrate on the effort you put into the exams, rather than worrying about the outcome.
<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">No matter what the outcome of your exams, we have faith in you making it through the program.
<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Even if you are 55<sup>th</sup> in the class, that is 55<sup>th</sup> out of approximately 1,200 applicants.
<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Work hard and manage your time across the course material.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Remember to pay attention to your wellness. Look at your index card from the first day of classes and stick to the plan.<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul>
