<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;color:black">As third-year graduate students in Seton Hall University’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program, we are conducting research to determine if there is a relationship
between hours of exposure to LGBTQIA+ health related content within the curricula of Physician Assistant Programs nationwide and students' perceived level of total confidence with these topics. Depending on how much exposure to LGBTQIA+ content the participant
has received, we hypothesize that there is a relationship between hours of exposure to LGBTQIA+ health related content and students’ perceived level of total confidence with these topics. Conducting this study can help raise awareness of potential gaps in
PA program curricula regarding LGBTQIA+ education as well as raising personal awareness of the need to educate oneself on the management of LGBTQIA+ patients. This is a pilot study, as there is no known existing similar research regarding the Physician Assistant
profession. The results can be utilized for future research in addition to a more comprehensive investigation regarding this topic.
