Dear NC PA Program Faculty and Staff,

Happy Monday! The NCAPA is excited to share three grant opportunities for your students:


  *   The NCAPA Endowment Student Grants: The NCAPA Endowment has Student Grants available for one student from each PA program in North Carolina. The applicant must be an NCAPA student member attending an NC PA program and be in their clinical rotations by September 2024. Applications and transcripts must be received by July 1, 2024, and more information can be found here: NCAPA Endowment Student Grant - NCAPA<https://ncapa.org/ncapa-endowment-student-grant/>.
  *   The NCAPA Trailblazer Award: The Trailblazer Scholarship is a $1,000 grant established by the NCAPA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee to support Black/African American PA students during their second year of PA school. The DE&I committee reviewed research and statistics around health disparities and gaps in representation and established this scholarship in an effort to address these needs. Applicants must be in their clinical year as of August 2024, must self-identify as Black/African American, and must be enrolled in an NC PA Program.   *   The NCAPA AAPA LAS Student Grants: The NCAPA Student Affairs Committee is excited to announce NCAPA Student Member Grants are available to attend the 2024 AAPA Leadership and Advocacy Summit (LAS)<https://www.aapa.org/events/leadership-advocacy-summit/> held on September 12 - 14, 2024 at the Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City. We will be covering the registration fees (not including flights or lodging) for one student from each NC PA program. The applications for these grants all close in about 5-6 weeks, so we would be very appreciative if you could communicate these opportunities with your students.
