[Pa25] Announcement of New Chair and Director of Physician Assistant Practice Program

The following email is being sent on behalf of Dr. Jeff Mercer to PA Students:
Dear PA Students,
I am pleased to share that Ms. Laura Gerstner (MHA, MSHS, PA-C) has been chosen as the incoming Chair and Director of the Physician Assistant Practice program. Having been an integral part of our PA program since its inception in 2010, Ms. Gerstner has played a crucial role in its growth and success, showcasing dedication and expertise during her time as the director of Clinical Education and as associate program director since February 2022.
I am confident that Ms. Gerstner's extensive experience and passion for our program will contribute significantly to its continued excellence. Her official term as Chair and Director will begin June 1, 2024, and in the coming months, she will collaborate closely with Mrs. Betty Lynne Johnson to ensure a seamless transition of leadership.
I am immensely proud to witness the next phase of the PA program under the capable leadership of Ms. Gerstner. Her dedication and enthusiasm are truly commendable, and I have full confidence in her ability to steer the program to new heights.
Later today, an article will be published on the Campbell website, providing more details about Ms. Gerstner's background and achievements. I encourage you to read the article to gain insight into the wealth of knowledge and leadership she brings to this crucial role. This news will be shared with all CPHS students in an email message this afternoon.
Please join me in extending warm congratulations to Ms. Gerstner on her well-deserved appointment. Additionally, let me take a moment to express my gratitude for the many years of capable and effective leadership that Mrs. Johnson has provided to the PA program.
