Hello clinical year students!

It was so nice to see you at the IPE Research Symposium last week!  I heard from many CPHS faculty and nursing students in attendance how impressed they were with your posters and presentations and I agree!

I wanted to let you all know....
I am thrilled to announce that I have selected Dr. Ian Ward to serve in the role of Associate Program Director, effective June 1st.  Dr. Ward has nine years of experience in PA education, including as Director of Didactic Education here at Campbell and Director of Assessment and Director of Clinical Education at Methodist's PA program.  In addition, he brings excellent experience and leadership from his doctorate in medical education as well as his 20+ year career as a project manager and director at IBM.  Please help me in congratulating Dr. Ward!

In addition, I will be on an academic sabbatical for the summer semester - May, June, & July.  With Mrs. Johnson's retirement effective May 31st, Dr. Ward will serve as the acting program director from June 1st until I return at the end of July.  I will be present at your graduation and Long White Coat ceremonies as well!  I look forward to seeing you all at your April 26th clinical seminar day before my sabbatical begins!

Keep working hard and focus on the finish line - it is approaching rapidly!
