The Conference of District Attorneys is pleased to announce we are hosting the first North Carolina Prosecutor Academy, July 30 - August 1, 2024, in Raleigh at the North Carolina Judicial Center.

About the Academy
The Prosecutor Academy is a three-day program offering a unique opportunity for law school students who have completed their first year. This initiative is aimed at individuals aspiring to pursue a career in prosecution or those curious about the intricacies of the role. The academy seeks to provide valuable insights into the world of prosecution, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the profession. One of the unique aspects of the Prosecutor Academy is the active interaction and involvement of District Attorneys statewide. This collaborative effort ensures a diverse and enriching experience for the participants. During the Academy, numerous District Attorneys will share their prosecution philosophy and present special projects within their jurisdictions. There will also be opportunities to develop practical prosecution skills, make invaluable connections with prosecutors from across the state, and learn from a variety of prosecutors specializing in various areas of law, from special victims prosecution to violent crime, impaired driving, financial crimes, and more. This interactive engagement will give attendees a real-world understanding of the challenges and opportunities in their potential careers. The Prosecutor Academy stands as a testament to the Conference of District Attorneys' commitment to fostering the next generation of legal professionals. By providing a platform for learning, networking, and mentorship, the academy aims to shape the future of prosecution.
