2023 Annual Scholarship Applications Now Open

The Government & Public Sector section is pleased to solicit applications for the Government & Public Sector 2023 Annual Scholarship! We are offering two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1000 each to two law students doing their summer internships in a government entity.

In order to qualify for the Government & Public Sector Section Scholarship, the recipient must be an unpaid intern working in a North Carolina government law department (i.e. City, County, State, or Federal) and must be currently enrolled in an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school. The scholarship money must go directly to the recipient.

Applications should be submitted no later than Friday, June 2, at 5 p.m. to be considered.

Students attending ABA-accredited law schools or schools seeking accreditation are eligible for free membership in the NCBA Law Student Division.

The NCBA created the Law Student Division to help students develop their legal skills, to assist them in transitioning from legal education into the legal profession, and to provide positive, productive links between law students and the NCBA. From the moment a student enters one of North Carolina’s six law schools, the NCBA is there to provide services and experiences that will enhance and enrich the law school experience.
