<span style="font-size: 11pt;">You may already have heard from the news that Gene Boyce left us on October 28. Although a graduate of Wake Forest Law School, late in his life he embraced and came to love our law school. Our Boyce Advocacy Center is named
for him, and for the past few years he has been a regular presence here, with an office in our advocacy suite. His incredible generosity, most of which will now come to us on his passing, will insure that our advocacy program is richly funded well into the
future. We already compete at the highest levels, and now the sky will be the limit. On a personal level, I mourn the loss of a good friend. To me he was kind, devoted and visionary, and I will forever be in his debt. His obituary is attached.</span></p>
