For the fourth year in a row, Campbell Law School advocates have won the<span class="x_Apple-converted-space x_ContentPasted0"> </span></span><a href="https://www.americancollegeofbankruptcy.com/?fbclid=IwAR0eZnapX0Rw5Vs1NbbyewVawsZfGpCmr3pbJB0q7ezftBuQ9klgqfoB38o" class="x_ContentPasted0" data-loopstyle="link" style="box-sizing:border-box; color:rgb(191,85,18)"><span style="box-sizing:border-box">American
College of Bankruptcy (ACB) Fourth Circuit Moot Court Competition</span></a><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">, Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard announced on Monday.</span></p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px 0px 1.6875rem"><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">Third-year students Rebecca Pierce, Charlie King and Samantha Richardson, who was a member of last year’s regional winning team, competed
in the ACB on Feb. 20, 2023. The competition is hosted each year by the Education Committee of the ACB.</span></p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px 0px 1.6875rem"><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">Pierce was also named the competition’s Top Oralist. </span></p>

Annual Duberstein Moot Court Competition on March 4-6, 2023, in New York.<span class="x_Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></a><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">The national competition is hosted by St. John’s University School
of Law in New York City.</span></p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px 0px 1.6875rem"><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">The ACB competition this year was held in Washington, D.C., where law schools from the Fourth and D.C. Circuits participated. The competition
is designed in part to serve as a regional tournament for law school teams competing in the national competition.</span></p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px 0px 1.6875rem"><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">There were six teams competing in three preliminary rounds with Campbell Law advancing to the championship round against a team from the
University of Maryland Law School (UMDLaw).</span></p>

Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition</span></a><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box"><span class="x_Apple-converted-space x_ContentPasted0"> </span>is widely recognized as one of the nation’s preeminent moot court competitions. The competition
promotes and recognizes the finest oral and written advocacy on significant issues in bankruptcy practice. </span></p>
<p style="box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px 0px 1.6875rem"><span class="x_ContentPasted0" style="box-sizing:border-box">Westbrook is a partner at K & L Gates, and Osterhout an attorney at Smith Anderson. Both women began their careers as law clerks to Dean
Leonard when he was a bankruptcy judge.</span></p>
