Mandatory Training | Feb 16th | Mark this Date on Your Calendars!

This training is mandatory for all law students. The training will focus on bias, cultural competency, and racism. The training is required by ABA standard 303(c). The training schedule and registration details will be emailed to students this week.

Dr. Keith Payne, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at UNC, Chapel Hill, will join Campbell Law on February 1 to discuss the science behind implicit bias and its implications for the law. Campbell Law will host the North Carolina Court of Appeals afternoon session beginning at 2:00 pm in the Boyce Courtroom with a reception for attendees to follow in the Pope Foyer. All six judges who will be presiding are Campbell Law Alumni.  The cases presented for this session:

JAG Panel | Feb 13th at 12:00pm| Room 307

Join the Career Center and National Security and Military Law Student Association for our Annual JAG Day Event on February 13th. Starting with Coffee with the Corps from 9:30 – 11:30, stop by the lobby to have coffee and chat with representatives from the Navy, Army, Air Force and Marines Jag offices. At Noon in room 307, join us for a panel discussion led by Lt. Col. (and our own professor) Erin Kenney, US Air Force Jag, where you will learn what it is like to serve as an officer in the Jag Corps and why would students want to consider this career path. Law Diversity Day is an event scheduled for Saturday, February 17th from 10am until 5pm. This event is an opportunity for underrepresented student, prospects, and applicants to Campbell Law to meet a panel of diverse law professionals, diverse law students, learn about financing law school, and meet Deans of Admission from six Law Schools across the state.

Campbell Law is now an approved drop-off location for Lunchdrop! Lunchdrop is a food delivery service that delivers from select restaurants daily. All you have to do is make an account, and you can start ordering lunch delivered right to the law school. Orders must be made before 10:30 a.m., and the lunches will be dropped off in the lobby. This is a weekly prayer request form provided by the Campbell Law student chapter of the Christian Legal Society.  The purpose of this form is to provide Campbell Law students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to request prayer for the needs that they may have, whether those needs be physical or spiritual and on their own behalf or on behalf of another. Every week, the officers of the Campbell Law Christian Legal Society will read all prayer requests and gather together to lift those supplications to the Lord in prayer. Please know that all prayer requests will be held in the strictest confidence unless you tell us otherwise. We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will grant you grace for every need.

"[D]o not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV).
