BLSA with Lexis
Beloved is a novel inspired by the true story of Margaret Gamer, an enslaved woman who killed her child to spare her from atrocities of slavery. It has been targeted for its inappropriate, but accurate, depiction of slavery and some of the darkest moments in American history. BLSA will take a look at the importance of this novel and discuss why its presence should persist in today's education sphere.

The Robert Pitofsky Law School Writing Competition - The Robert Pitofsky Law School Writing Competition encourages and rewards student-written articles in the area of antitrust law, competition policy, and consumer protection law. The winner will receive $5,000 cash, one-year free membership in the Antitrust Law Section, free round-trip economy-class airfare (if outside the Washington, DC area), and three nights' accommodations (at a hotel of the Section's choosing) to attend the Section's Annual Spring Meeting, April 10-12, 2024, in Washington, DC. 2024 Harvey Saferstein Consumer Protection Committee Student Essay Contest - The ABA Antitrust Law Section Consumer Protection Committee is hosting a student essay writing contest ("Contest") for second- and third-year law students. Participants are required to submit an essay exploring a relevant and timely consumer protection or data privacy issue. The Committee will select three winners. First place will receive a cash scholarship of $5,000, plus complimentary registration (and travel expenses) to the ABA Antitrust Law Section's 71st Spring Meeting in Washington, D.C. Second place will receive a cash scholarship of $3,000 and Third place will receive a cash scholarship of $2,000. In addition, the top essay, along with a biography of the winning student, will be published in an ABA publication. Summer 2024 Diversity Stipend - The mission of the ABA Antitrust Law Section Diversity Stipend Program is to encourage law students from diverse and underrepresented groups who have an interest in antitrust, consumer protection, or privacy law to pursue public interest internships. Diverse second-year law (2L) students attending an ABA-accredited law school are eligible to apply for a $5,000 stipend upon their acceptance to a Summer 2024 internship at a qualified federal agency or a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization in the areas of antitrust, consumer protection, or privacy law. This is a weekly prayer request form provided by the Campbell Law student chapter of the Christian Legal Society. The purpose of this form is to provide Campbell Law students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to request prayer for the needs that they may have, whether those needs be physical or spiritual and on their own behalf or on behalf of another. Every week, the officers of the Campbell Law Christian Legal Society will read all prayer requests and gather together to lift those supplications to the Lord in prayer. Please know that all prayer requests will beheld in the strictest confidence unless you tell us otherwise. We pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will grant you grace for every need.
"[D]o not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV).
