NS-MLSA Hosts an (unclassified) National Security Law Brief
MAJ Wayne Janoe, the Chief of National Security Law at 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC, will discuss the legal implications of Special Operations shifting from two decades of Counterterrorism targeting to Great Power Competition.  Specifically, how will military law inform Special Operations Commanders on Cyber Operations, Information Operations, and Security Cooperation efforts under the current National Defense Strategy. Wills and Advanced Directives Pro Bono Group with Legal Aid of North Carolina

The Wills and Advanced Directives Pro Bono group is looking for additional student volunteers for this year's event. This year, we are partnering with Legal Aid of North Carolina to host a one-day clinic. The event itself will be hosted on the morning of Saturday, October 30th. We are partnering with Legal Aid of North Carolina to serve roughly five clients from the local community. We will have a training session on Friday, October 29th in the afternoon. On that Saturday morning, student volunteers and attorneys from Legal Aid will meet with clients to help them draft the will documents. Are you interested in gaining global experience and studying international law at one of the world's finest universities?  Might you be eager to travel and explore in the United Kingdom and Europe after spending so much time at home during the pandemic?  Are you curious about EU law, UK law, or human rights?  Have you ever wanted to visit and observe the Royal Courts of Justice or Parliament while they are in session?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please join Professors Lukasik, Osborn, and Fields for a Cambridge Program information session on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at noon in the Dean's Conference Room on the 4th Floor!  We're looking forward to sharing information with you about the incredible and enriching opportunities available to you through our Cambridge study-abroad program and the Nottingham LLM!
