I hope this email finds you well. I am the director of the Rhode Island Supreme Court Trial Law Clerk Department. Your career development office may already have received an electronic posting for our clerkship program, but I wanted to personally reach out to let you know of our interest in hiring Campbell University students.

The one-year clerkship is a wonderful opportunity for a recent Campbell University graduate from any state to gain an intimate understanding of state trial courts and exposure to a wide range of complex legal matters in civil litigation and criminal law. They participate in a week-long orientation where they can hone their writing skills and their practical understanding of the standard of review and continue to receive support in this realm throughout the year. There are multiple opportunities for mentorship. After their clerkships, our law clerks have gone on to work in wide array of practice settings-private firms, the public sector, and other prestigious clerkships-both in and outside of the state of Rhode Island.
I believe Campbell University graduates would thrive in this role, and I'm eager to share this opportunity with them. If you know of any particular students who might be interested in clerkships with our courts, we would greatly appreciate your sharing this information with them.
