[Lawjudicialclerkship] Attention 3Ls: Post graduate clerkship with Justice Newby

Chief Justice Paul Newby is accepting applications for a one-year clerkship to begin August 2023. Chief Justice Newby is seeking an excellent writer who is meticulous and detail oriented. Journal experience is preferred though not required. Primary responsibilities include opinion drafting and prepping Chief Justice Newby for oral argument, though clerks are required to complete various other tasks as needed. Interested students should email their applications to Ms. Wesleigh Vick at nyb at sc.nccourts.org<mailto:nyb at sc.nccourts.org>. Chief Justice Newby requests that the student's resume include class rank and GPA. Students may provide a list of 2-3 references with their contact information.

Applications should include a cover letter, writing sample and transcript. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
